What great weather and what a great weekend this past weekend for the girls tournament! We had some very good pool play games as well as exciting Semi-finals and Championships! In the A Division Oak Mountain girls defeated Spain Park 3-0. In the B Division the Hornets from Chelsea beat a newcomer Faith Academy in overtime 1-0.
Weather or not... the Championship games were played... Vestavia Hills defeated Spain Park 1-0 in sudden death penalty kicks Saturday evening in the wet weather to claim the title of A division Champions in the 20th Annual Lakeshore Shootout. In the B division Mountain Brook knocked off Arab 2-1 to come up champions.
The Organizing committee would like to thank all of those that braved the elements to come out and support their teams. We look forward to a great Girl's weekend as well.
